3 crores on climax!
After offbeat films like Raavanan and Deiva Thiirumagal, Vikram seems to be making sure that his upcoming Rajapattai is as commercial as it gets. The climax of the film was canned recently and we hear that the makers spent almost 3 crore on that alone! “That’s the kind of money that is usually spent on an entire film,” says a source, “But Vikram and director Suseenthiran wanted to make sure that the fight sequence at the end of the film is extra special for audiences. In fact, as it rained a bit during the 8-day shoot, a couple of scenes were shot in natural rain as well.”
The actor plays a gym trainer in the film and will be sporting different looks. “Extra care has been taken for the fights because the lead character has a great physique,” adds the source, “Actually, a couple of fights have been ‘choreographed’ with elements of comedy as well. The climax fight will be a crescendo of all the elements used in the fight sequences in the film and will be a treat for Vikram fans.” Deeksha Seth pairs up with the actor in the film that has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The Rajapattai unit, which is currently shooting in Kumbakonam, will be off to Europe next month to film a couple of songs. “One of the song locations will be a first for Tamil cinema. The other song will be shot in a picturesque village in Italy,” adds the source.
