Vikram's 'Karikalan' will restart in June

With Chiyaan Vikram concentrating on slick action entertainer 'Thaandavam' and gangster trilingual 'David', it was buzzed that his period entertainer 'Karikalan' was shelved.

However, speaking to a media house, the director of the project Kannan expressed, "We have already wrapped 25 per cent of the film's shoot. Karikalan is not shelved, it will restart in June".

Vikram is currently in London shooting for 'Thaandavam' with AL Vijay. Post this film he has trilingual 'David' by Bejoy Nambiar, the film also sees Jiiva in Tamil and Telugu. Vikram also has a film with his mentor Bala on cards.

'Karikalan', a period cum contemporary entertainer sees Vikram and Zarine Khan in the lead roles. It will release simultaneously in Telugu as 'Veerudu'. It is further said that Vikram who is known for getting into the skin and look of the character he plays will be gaining a few pounds for his role in 'Karikalan'.
