It is well known news that ‘Raavanan’ film is well shaped in the hands of director Maniratnam and is ready to release soon in both Tamil and Hindi versions. The Tamil version of the film casts Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Prithviraj, Priyamani and Ranjitha.
However, as the shooting of the film is completed and the preview has also been visualized, now there arises a question that whether the story of ‘Raavanan’ is inspired by Ramayana or quite different. In answering to these questions, the storyline of Raavanan is leaking out slowly.
The story of the film will be in this line – Vikram is a criminal and the police are after him. His sister Priyamani will be killed by missing the target aimed at Vikram in the hand of police officer Prithviraj. Infuriated by this, Vikram kidnaps Prithviraj’s wife Aishwarya Rai and takes her into the forest. After searching in the forest, the police finally find Aishwarya Rai. But, instead of being happy he starts doubting her and blames his wife Aishwarya and shocked at the twists and turns of these events. Finally, Aishwarya’s decision forms the end of the movie.
Sources say that though the storyline somewhat sounds like epic Ramayana, Maniratnam would have definetly added his magical style in it. Let’s wait to see that magical feast on the screens.
